My story

  • I am 46, and I live in Waarschoot (Lievegem) with my partner Mieke, who works as business trainer and clinical psychologist.
  • I consider people and the nature of the process flow as key ingredients in an organisation. For me a company or organisation is a living being. It moves, evolves, and contains wisdom which can be harvested and made functional. With my background, experience and presence, I like to cultivate the exploration journey to bring the needed elements to the surface. This enables ownership and manageability, and provide solid ground for the materialisation of necessary change. This also applies to people . . .
  • I feel naturally connected to organisations in East and West- Flanders.
  • I studied applied economics with specialisation in Supply Chain, Service & Innovation management. ICT has always been part of my live, even since I was a child. This synergy is my homebase.
  • I bring the combined ability to assist the customer in technical matters, to talk the business and human language, and to support in human emotional and non-tangible aspects.
  • One of my strengths in the role of independent advisor and business architect , is to see and analyse simultaneously from different viewpoints, both the total picture and the interrelations between strategic elements, and to question the necessity and the added value of a solution in this holistic view.
  • In many companies I see a struggle with the alignment and the interaction between the operational layer (ERP, Finance, Logistics) and the external environment (Customer Experience Portals, Marketing, Interfaces with external actors). Many potential problems and inefficiencies arise if this area is not properly understood and managed. One constant in my professional life is the technical and operational alignment of such components, and the embedding in owned and managed processes, whilst keeping the total structure flexible and sustainable.
  • I have a history of 15 years in operational management at Honda on European level. I worked in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Sales and Marketing, for the parts division. I also have background in Finance, GDPR, Sustainability and experience with MRP, ERP, Portals, Interfaces, Data-analyse and modelling through several projects.
  • Previously I owned a company with a team of developers. Today my focus is on guiding and advising SME’s whilst I still love the technicality as well. When required I can dive deep in this technical world and design a database in SQL, write C# code or setup integration in N8N.
  • I am a good-hearted person with a strong appetite to learn new things, understand the interrelations between elements and to get the question answered why something works or doesn’t.
  • This resulted in a broad awareness in many areas. I had trainings in ICT Management, E-commerce, Management- Systems, TQM, Business Design Thinking, Circular economics, Alchemy of Leadership, Business Process Management, 3D Manufacturing, Ice Cream Production, GDPR, Alternative Business Models, CSR Reporting … at Vlerick Business School, Data Protection Institute, Life Projects, UA Management School, MVO Vlaanderen, University of Gent. I am adding a lot of self-learning. I read books and absorb knowledge from a variety of sources depending on the need or the interest of the moment. I had cultivating contacts with many types of businesses.
  • My passion: To join in the discovery of the unknown, to be there, and to help people and organisations grow.
